Is there anyone fearful of a simple wardrobe malfunction? Not Taylor Swift, who handled a technical glitch so gracefully that she had to remove her frock during the acoustic portion of her May 19 Eras Tour performance in Stockholm, Sweden.
In a video uploaded on TikTok on May 20, the "Fortnight" singer instructed the audience to "just talk amongst yourselves" after observing that a portion of the sound equipment connected to her ensemble had "come undone."
As instructed, Taylor unfastened her full ombré blue wrap dress, which she had worn during the earlier Tortured Poets Department phase of the performance, in an attempt to make the necessary alterations herself. The black-and-gold bejeweled outfit was visible below. Taylor then took a seat at the piano bench. When it failed as well, a member of her staff came on stage to assist her.
Fans at the Stockholm event were understandably taken aback by the sudden departure of the outfit, with one fan heard in the video enquiring, "Oh, is she changing?"
Taylor was commended by others for remaining Ms. Perfectly Fine during the entire situation. One TikTok user said, "Even when there's a malfunction, she's adorable."
Naturally, Taylor has had to overcome more than one setback since her tour began more than a year ago. During a visit to Tokyo back in February, the 34-year-old came dangerously close to falling off one of the stage structures.
After her performance of "The 1" on February 9, Taylor stated, "I almost fell off the Folklore cabin." "But I didn't, and that's the lesson."
Rejecting the statement that her "life flashed before my eyes," the Grammy winner said, "No, I'm good." Everything is fantastic and wonderful."
