Stephen Baldwin is full of admiration for his daughter Hailey Bieber following her $1 billion deal to sell her skincare brand, Rhode, to e.l.f. Beauty. Speaking on The Adam Carolla Show on June 25, the 59-year-old actor expressed pride in Hailey's business acumen and dedication.

"It took her three years," Baldwin stated. "What, did you think that was just some rotten tomatoes journey?" He emphasized that the journey to Rhode's success wasn't easy and highlighted Hailey's careful approach to building the brand. "The cool part of it is she's super smart, smart in business," he said. "Succeeded as a model prior to everything she's doing now."

Baldwin shared that Hailey had previously turned down a significant offer in the cosmetics world. "She actually had an offer to do something pretty big and cool in the cosmetics a couple years ago and didn't," he explained. Instead, she chose to develop something she believed in. According to him, Hailey "actually wanted the product to use herself," ensuring Rhode "wouldn't just be B.S." where she simply "put her name on it."

Stephen pointed to the genuine effectiveness of the products as the reason behind Rhode's rise. "The reason it's succeeding is people are responding to it," he said. "It actually works as hydration and all of that."

As a father, Baldwin prefers to give his daughters independence. "I let my kids do what they're doing," he said. "And if they want to throw a boomerang at me, I'll call them back." He noted that both Hailey and her sister Alaia Baldwin Aronow have supportive spouses, saying, "I'm blessed that my two daughters married two great guys."

Despite the financial success, Baldwin emphasized that his parenting approach has remained unchanged. "The sweet part of my kids, too, is, in the wake of whatever their success is, their dad remains the same," he said. "I've always been the same way. You know you're going to tell your daughter the truth."
