Ovi Kabir and his lifelong roommate have locked in. In Sevierville, Tennessee, the Big Brother alum wed his longtime sweetheart, Hannah Blackwell, in a two-day ceremony.
With a Bangladeshi Gaye Holud, Ovi and Hannah, who first met at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, kicked off their multicultural festivities on August 1. According to People, the couple attended a pre-wedding celebration that featured dancing, music, food, a turmeric blessing ceremony, and mehndi while wearing traditional panjabis and lehengas.
The next day, the couple formally exchanged vows in front of 190 of their closest family members and friends, including Big Brother alumni Kat Dunn, Tommy Bracco, Cliff Hogg, and Nicole Fontanez, as well as other well-known guests like Synclaire Warren, Avery Rizzotto, Kellye Cash, and more, during their Southern-themed wedding.
Hannah wore a lace dress with floral accents and a Wonda Concept custom veil. Wearing a white coat and black trousers by Friar Tux, Ovi maintained a classic look. For the occasion, Mowgli, the couple's dog, wore a small tux, which added even more adorableness.
Don Black, a longtime friend, officiated the ceremony, and the couple celebrated with more dancing and Southern-inspired food like cornbread and crispy fried chicken and Indian classics such as butter chicken and goat curry. Bringing the sweetness, the desserts included a three-tiered wedding cake and a mix of Indian and Southern treats.
Regarding getting married, Ovi is excited to create more memories with his soulmate.
In an interview that was released on August 6, he stated, "I'm most excited to move through life with my best friend by my side." "I'll have Hannah by my side no matter what happens to us, be it a challenging day, an unforeseen turn, a brand-new adventure, or just a peaceful evening spent on the couch watching awful reality TV. I'm excited to create a life with you that is full of love, meaning, and laughter."
Hannah, for her part, was thrilled to share the most significant event of her life with those who have been there from the beginning.
"I just want to keep living the life I’ve been living over the last eight and a half years with Ovi," she added. "It just means so much to finally cement that in front of all of our family and friends and do it in a way that fuses our cultures."
