Teddi Mellencamp has revealed she is struggling with "severe anxiety" during her ongoing battle with stage 4 melanoma, which has spread to her brain and lungs. The 44-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has undergone multiple surgeries, radiation, and is currently receiving immunotherapy.

In a candid Instagram video posted on August 14, Mellencamp asked her followers: "OK, for those of y'all who've gone through immunotherapy, did you have severe anxiety? Just on random days for no apparent reason? Like today I was able to walk, I did the podcast and now I'm just sitting here full of anxiety. Is this common? What are things that you guys have done to help make you feel better? Let me know. Looking for any positive advice."

She later noted in the post's caption: "For anybody who's gone through immunotherapy, what did you do to help combat the severe anxiety that takes over sometimes?" Followers responded with suggestions ranging from breathing exercises to supplements, while some advised her to check for other underlying causes.

Mellencamp first went public with her melanoma diagnosis in 2022 and has since documented her journey through 17 surgeries and multiple treatments. In February this year, she underwent surgery to remove several brain tumours after experiencing "severe and debilitating headaches." By March, doctors had found "three more tumours in my brain and 2 tumours on my lungs," which she described as "a direct result of my melanoma."

On her Two Ts in a Pod podcast in July, she described initially feeling well enough to keep up with her usual activities, including attending her daughter's horse shows and living independently. However, she explained that as her immunotherapy treatment has continued, it has increasingly left her feeling unwell.

Her health struggles have also influenced her professional choices. During an appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, she said she would not be returning to RHOBH, citing a lack of capacity to take on the role. She noted that the effects of her treatment sometimes cause speech difficulties, and she would not want these challenges to be misinterpreted by viewers or cast members.

Despite the challenges, Mellencamp continues to share her story, crediting her family, friends, and supporters for giving her "peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life."
