Isabela Ferrer, who portrayed the younger version of Blake Lively's character in the 2024 film It Ends With Us, is contesting a subpoena from her former costar and director Justin Baldoni. According to newly filed court documents, the 24-year-old actress alleges Baldoni's legal maneuvers are intended to "harass and intimidate" her.

Ferrer's attorneys argue that Baldoni's requests for her private communications, as well as his August 12 motion accusing her of being unresponsive, are attempts to exert unnecessary pressure. They contend the director has displayed a "pattern of manipulation and bullying," designed to draw Ferrer into litigation that she has sought to avoid.

"While Ms. Ferrer will comply with any legitimate legal obligations, she will not be coerced or extorted into participating beyond what is required," her legal team stated. They further noted that ongoing negotiations around indemnity are being used as a tactic to place financial strain on her.

Baldoni's lawyers insist Ferrer is a material witness in Blake Lively's lawsuit against him, citing her presence during filming as central to their case. The subpoena requested she turn over documents related to "discriminatory, harassing, retaliatory, or unwelcome conduct" from production.

This latest dispute stems from a broader legal battle between Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41. In December 2024, Lively filed suit alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, and a smear campaign orchestrated by Baldoni. He has denied all claims, countersuing for extortion and defamation, though his $400 million countersuit was dismissed earlier this year.

Tensions became more visible in August 2024 during the promotional tour for It Ends With Us. Ferrer and other cast members reportedly distanced themselves from Baldoni, unfollowing him on social media and avoiding joint appearances. In his filings, Baldoni accused Lively of encouraging Ferrer to shun him in order to damage his reputation.

Despite the legal turbulence, Ferrer has spoken warmly about her bond with Lively, calling her "a really good person" during the film's release. Lively's lawsuit is currently scheduled for trial in March 2026.
