Harry Styles, the English singer and songwriter best known for his chart-topping music career, has added another remarkable accomplishment to his list of achievements by running the Berlin Marathon in under three hours. Organizers confirmed his participation to The Associated Press, and local newspaper Der Tagesspiegel first reported the story, which quickly spread worldwide.

The 31-year-old former One Direction member competed under the pseudonym Sted Sarandos, wearing a headband and sunglasses as he joined more than 55,000 runners on the world-renowned fast Berlin course. Styles completed the route in 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds, narrowly breaking the coveted sub-three-hour mark that is celebrated in marathon circles. Averaging 4:15 minutes per kilometer, or around 8.77 miles per hour, he placed 2241st overall and 524th in his age group.

This is not the first time Styles has tested his endurance on the marathon stage. Earlier this year, he participated in the Tokyo Marathon, finishing in 3 hours, 24 minutes, and 7 seconds. His rapid improvement between the two races suggests a serious commitment to long-distance running, surprising fans who know him primarily as a performer rather than an athlete.

Styles was photographed at the finish alongside Paralympic champion Richard Whitehead, who is undertaking the incredible challenge of running 20 marathons this year. Whitehead posted the photo on Instagram, jokingly asking if anyone recognized his companion while praising Styles' performance.

Beyond the marathon, Styles' music career continues to thrive. His debut self-titled album reached number one in both the U.S. and the U.K., and his 2019 album Fine Line produced the Grammy-winning single "Watermelon Sugar." While his career achievements are already impressive, this foray into marathon running adds yet another dimension to his image, showing dedication, discipline, and versatility.

It appears that Styles is determined to leave his mark not only in music and film but also on the global sporting stage.
