Taylor Swift has secured a restraining order against a man accused of stalking her for months and repeatedly trespassing at her Los Angeles home. Court documents reveal that the individual, identified as 45-year-old Brian Jason Wagner of Colorado, began showing up at Swift’s residence in July 2024 and persisted in his unwanted visits well into 2025.
The filing states Wagner returned multiple times, with two incidents occurring as recently as May 2025. Swift described his behavior as both threatening and delusional, noting that he made disturbing claims about a supposed personal relationship with her. In one particularly alarming encounter, Wagner allegedly arrived at her property carrying a glass bottle, which Swift characterized as a potential weapon.
The Grammy-winning singer, known for fiercely protecting her privacy, emphasized in the documents that Wagner’s actions caused her “serious emotional distress” and placed her safety at risk. She argued that the repeated intrusions created an environment of fear and uncertainty, leaving her unable to feel secure in her own home. The court agreed, issuing a restraining order designed to keep Wagner away from Swift’s residence and places she frequents.
This incident adds to a troubling pattern of obsessive behavior that Swift has faced throughout her career. The global superstar has previously dealt with similar cases involving individuals who trespassed or attempted to confront her at home, highlighting the vulnerabilities public figures encounter despite extensive security measures. Swift has been vocal in the past about the impact such encounters have on her sense of safety, particularly as she continues to balance a demanding professional schedule with personal privacy.
While Swift has not commented publicly on the matter, her team is reportedly working closely with security professionals and law enforcement to ensure the court’s directives are enforced. For now, the restraining order provides a legal safeguard aimed at deterring further contact.
