Taylor Swift is embracing a season of milestones — a new album release and her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on October 3, the 14-time Grammy winner spoke candidly about Kelce's elaborate proposal, their upcoming wedding, and her latest project, The Life of a Showgirl.

The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, announced their engagement on August 26. Swift recalled the special moment with Norton, praising Kelce's effort. "He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in. He went all out — 10 out of 10," she said. The singer proudly displayed her diamond engagement ring during the interview, a piece estimated to be worth between $700,000 and $1 million.

When pressed about wedding details, Swift kept most plans under wraps but confirmed her priorities. "I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan," she shared. She added with a smile, "You'll know." Audience members at the show also revealed Swift described the upcoming celebration as "huge," noting that a smaller event would feel "stressful." In a lighter moment, she joked that children would not be part of the festivities.

Kelce, meanwhile, hinted on his New Heights podcast that the couple is already discussing music for the big day. "Yeah, I think we're live music kind of people," he said in a recent episode with guest Jimmy Fallon.

Alongside the personal news, Swift used her chat show appearance to launch The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album. She explained the project was born during her marathon Eras Tour, where she battled fatigue. "Last year on the tour I was physically exhausted — sick and worn down — so to spark me up, I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes. It stopped me hitting a wall," she revealed.

Describing the sound of the record, Swift said, "In recent years, I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn't like doing a complete autopsy of myself." With collaborations including Sabrina Carpenter, the album represents a confident new era. "I feel I can do anything now while running in heels," she added.

The Graham Norton Show episode featuring Swift, Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi aired on BBC One and iPlayer the same day the album dropped.
