Prince William is pleased to provide an update on his wife's condition. Following the announcement of Kate Middleton's and his father King Charles III's cancer diagnoses last year, he provided an update on their current health.
On the October 2 episode of The Reluctant Traveler on Apple TV+, William, 43, told Eugene Levy, "It's going well." "The good news is that everything is moving along as it should.
In response to the Schitt's Creek alum's question about whether Kate is in remission, William said, "Yes, she is. The news is fantastic.
Nine months after the Princess of Wales announced that she is in remission after a year of chemotherapy for the unidentified type of cancer, William provided an update on Kate's health.
George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, are their children. William talked about how he and Kate supported them during Kate's cancer journey.
He explained to Eugene that "everyone has their own coping mechanisms for these things, and the children are constantly learning and adapting." We work hard to provide them with the safety and security they require, and because we are an open family, we discuss the things that annoy and trouble us. However, you never know exactly how it might affect other things.
Therefore, it's crucial to support one another and reassure the kids that everything is alright, he added.
William acknowledged that his family has been "lucky" to avoid dealing with illnesses on a personal level. But Kate and Charles' diagnoses taught them all how to remain optimistic in the face of adversity.
William remarked, "I believe that you can quickly realize that the rug, the metaphorical rug, can be pulled from under your feet at any time." You may be thinking, 'We'll be fine, it won't happen to us,' because everyone seems to be optimistic. You must be optimistic. However, it does lead you to some rather unpleasant places when it does occur.
To sum up his year, William shared he’s grateful for where his family is now.
"I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had," William shared. "You know, life is sent to test us as well and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are."
