When it comes to her unapproved biography, Gwyneth Paltrow has low expectations. When Amy Odell's book Gwyneth: The Biography was released in July, the Oscar winner remained silent at first, but she eventually gave her thoughts on the book in a single word.
In an interview that appeared in British Vogue on October 15, she described it as "boring." "She completely missed everything, the truth of who I am, what my impact is," she continued about Amy.
Brad Falchuk, her husband of seven years, did the honors of telling Gwyneth what he was thinking, even though the Goop founder was making her statements at the time before she had even opened the book herself.
“My husband flicked through it, just because I was like, 'What is in this?’” she explained. “He said, ‘It’s as if somebody put in a prompt in ChatGPT and said, "Mine every Daily Mail article and write a biography about Gwyneth Paltrow."'"
He allegedly went on to say, "It's just bad." It is extremely poorly written.
For her part, Gwyneth expressed disappointment with the way the media covered the biography's content, which she claims was written with little to no interaction with her.
"What I allegedly said was all nonsense," she continued.
Regarding Amy herself, Gwyneth bemoaned the absence of notable biographer Walter Isaacson's works on Steve Jobs, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Albert Einstein in her biographer's other work, Anna: The Biography about Anna Wintour.
“I think it’s very sexist,” she said. “I was like, ‘OK, hang on a sec. Why do the men get Walter Isaacson and I get this hack?’ You know?”
