Kevin Federline has made shocking allegations about his ex-wife Britney Spears in his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew, claiming that the pop star used cocaine while she was still breastfeeding their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

According to excerpts obtained by multiple outlets, Federline recounts that the alleged incident occurred during his Playing With Fire album release party in 2006. Spears, who had told him she would remain home with their children, arrived at the event unexpectedly. Federline writes that her father, Jamie Spears, gestured toward his dressing room with a look of concern — prompting him to walk in and discover the singer allegedly taking cocaine with a friend.

Federline describes the moment as "surreal," saying Spears and her companion, an actress he did not name, made no attempt to conceal what they were doing. He claims that both of their sons were infants at the time and still being breastfed, leading to a heated confrontation between the couple later that night.

The former dancer says he urged Spears not to return home to feed the boys and suggested they get formula instead. He recalls that she became enraged and threw a drink in his face in front of guests. "That was the proverbial final straw," he writes, adding that the altercation marked the end of their marriage.

Days later, Federline's lawyer reportedly sent a formal notice requesting that Spears stop breastfeeding. Soon afterward, Spears filed for divorce, bringing their two-year marriage to an end in November 2006.

In another part of the memoir, Federline alleges that Spears also drank alcohol while pregnant and taking medication, describing the combination as "dangerous." Despite his concern, he writes that he tried to understand the pressure she faced in the spotlight.

Spears, 43, has strongly denied the claims. Responding on X, she called her ex-husband's accusations "white lies," adding that the constant gaslighting from him was "extremely hurtful and exhausting." The singer's spokesperson also criticized the memoir, saying that Federline and others were once again profiting off her now that child support payments had ended.

You Thought You Knew is set for release on October 21.
