Sarah Jessica Parker is set to be honoured with one of television's most prestigious accolades, the 2026 Carol Burnett Award, recognizing her decades-long influence and creativity in the entertainment industry.

The Golden Globes announced that Parker, 60, will receive the honour during the Golden Eve primetime special airing on January 8, 2026, ahead of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes on January 11. The event, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, will also celebrate Helen Mirren, who will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her achievements in film.

Golden Globes President Helen Hoehne praised Parker's enduring legacy, describing her as a pioneer whose work has made a lasting impact on popular culture and storytelling. This marks the first time both of the Globes' top honorary awards will go to women in the same year.

The Carol Burnett Award, first introduced in 2019, has previously been awarded to television icons including Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear, Ryan Murphy, and Ted Danson.

Parker, best known for her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in HBO's Sex and the City, has earned six Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmys, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her portrayal of the fashion-forward columnist became a defining role in television history, spawning two feature films and the successful sequel series And Just Like That..., which wrapped its latest season in August.

Beyond Sex and the City, Parker's career spans stage and screen, with credits in films such as The Family Stone, Hocus Pocus, The First Wives Club, and Failure to Launch. She also starred in HBO's Divorce and began her television career in Square Pegs and A Year in the Life.

The upcoming Golden Eve special will showcase highlights from Parker's career and include tributes and retrospectives celebrating her contributions to television. The Golden Globes ceremony, often dubbed Hollywood's Party of the Year, will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and produced by Dick Clark Productions.

Golden Eve airs January 8, 2026, followed by the 83rd Annual Golden Globes on January 11.
