Tara Reid's alarming collapse at a Chicago-area hotel sparked days of speculation, but newly reviewed surveillance footage is pushing back on her claims that she was drugged. The American Pie actress, who was taken out of the DoubleTree Chicago O'Hare Airport, Rosemont on a stretcher on Nov. 23, later said she believed a stranger had slipped something into her drink. Investigators now say there is no video to support that allegation.

On Wednesday, the Rosemont Public Safety Department confirmed that detectives reviewed hours of security footage from the hotel bar. Their statement was direct: "At no time did video show anyone tampering with or adding something to her drink." They added that the only person seen touching Reid's glass was the bartender, who briefly covered it when she stepped away, a standard safety measure.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are still waiting for medical records from the hospital where Reid was treated. Detectives noted that they cannot confirm what, if any, toxicology tests were conducted that night. Reid, too, has not yet received her copies. Until those results come in, investigators say there is no evidence of a crime or any suspect under review.

Reid, 50, maintains that something was seriously wrong. In a statement shared through her representative, she described blacking out after a single drink. "I woke up in the hospital eight hours later not knowing where I was," she said, calling the ordeal "the scariest feeling I have ever felt." She added that her memory of the night abruptly stops after returning to her drink, which she said had a napkin placed over it when she came back inside.

According to her police report, Reid had been approached at the bar by a man identifying himself as an influencer, and the pair briefly went outside for a cigarette. TMZ later obtained video of Reid struggling to stand, speaking incoherently and nearly slumping out of a wheelchair before being taken to an ambulance.

Hotel staff said they acted immediately when they noticed a medical emergency, and reiterated that guest safety is a priority. For now, authorities say they are committed to following every lead, but the available evidence shows no sign her drink was tampered with.
