Meghan Trainor and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, have welcomed their third child, a baby girl, via surrogate on January 18, 2026, joining their sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 2.
Trainor shared the news on Instagram on January 20, announcing their daughter's name as Mikey Moon Trainor. She expressed gratitude to the surrogate and the medical teams who supported the process, writing, "Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible. We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family."
The couple highlighted how special the moment has been for their entire family. Trainor shared that their sons were eager to welcome their new sister and even helped choose her middle name. She also noted that they plan to step back from the public eye to focus on family time following the birth.
Married since 2018, Trainor and Sabara have consistently spoken about their desire for a large family. In previous interviews, Trainor often discussed her goal of raising four children. Reflecting on motherhood in 2021, she said, "I'm ready for three more kids!" Later, while expecting her second son, she explained how parenting had reshaped her sense of self and ambition: "Each kid's going to bring a new version of me that I think is going to be badass — so I need four, at least!"
The singer has also spoken openly about the challenges surrounding pregnancy and childbirth. She revealed that complications during the birth of her first son caused significant emotional stress, which influenced how she approached expanding her family again.
Despite these challenges, Trainor credits her support system, including her husband, family members, medical team, and professional circle, with helping her navigate motherhood while continuing her music career.
She reflected on her long-held dream of having a family and the desire for daughters, noting that she never imagined herself becoming a successful pop star due to a lack of confidence. She described how the release of her hit song All About That Bass marked a turning point, and how it took a decade of building courage before she finally felt she was truly thriving in both her personal and professional life.
