Model and Rhodes founder Hailey Bieber has made a significant contribution to the memorial fund for the late Eric Dane, donating $20,000 to a GoFundMe campaign established to support the actor’s family and ALS research. The donation, made public on February 23, 2026, comes just days after the Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria star passed away at the age of 53 following a private battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

The fundraiser was organized by close friends of the Dane family to assist with final expenses and to fulfill the actor’s final wish of establishing a legacy scholarship for his two daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine. Bieber’s contribution was noticed by fans late Sunday night, listed under her name on the platform’s top donors list.

A source close to Bieber noted that the donation was a gesture of respect for Dane’s courage during his illness and his long-standing friendship with several members of the Bieber and Baldwin circles. “Hailey was deeply moved by Eric’s bravery, especially after he chose to go public with his diagnosis in his final months to advocate for others,” the

source stated. “She wanted to show her support for Rebecca [Gayheart] and the girls during this unimaginably difficult time.”

The passing of Eric Dane has triggered a massive wave of support for the ALS community. In the year leading up to his death, Dane had become a prominent face for the ALS Network, helping to raise millions for neurodegenerative disease research. His family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, supporters consider donating to the GoFundMe or directly to ALS research foundations to help find a cure for the disease that eventually took his life.

Other high-profile figures from the entertainment industry have also contributed to the fund, which surpassed its initial $500,000 goal within 48 hours of Dane’s passing. Former co-stars from both Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria have shared the link across social media, urging fans to help “carry the torch” for the advocacy work Dane started.

The donation from Bieber highlights a growing trend of Hollywood figures using their platforms to bolster the “Book of Days” fund—named after Dane’s forthcoming posthumous memoir. As the industry prepares for a formal memorial service later this month, the influx of support serves as a testament to the profound impact the actor had on his colleagues and the public alike.
