Hailee Steinfeld will always be a part of the Sinners family.
While she was not there at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, the "Capital Letters" singer shared many Instagram stories in support of the film's cast and crew, including costar Michael B. Jordan, writer and director Ryan Coogler, and cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, all of whom won Oscars.
In other news, the 29-year-old, who is expecting her first child with husband Josh Allen, praised Ludwig Goransson, who won Best Original Score for crafting the Sinners soundtrack.
The Pitch Perfect alum also shared scenes from the evening with Ryan's wife, Zinzi Coogler, who co-produced the film, and Misty Copeland, who performed a ballet routine inspired by the film's dance sequences.
While Hailee was not present at the Oscar event, her co-star and friend Michael gave her and Wumi Mosaku a shoutout after Michael won Best Actor.
"I would like to thank my incredible cast," Michael, who was nominated in the category with Timothée Chalamet, Wagner Moura, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ethan Hawke, said onstage at the Dolby Theatre. "Wunmi, thank you very much for allowing Smoke the opportunity to be himself. Hailee is at home; she’s getting ready to have a baby right now. Thank you so much for being the other, other half of Stack.”
Hailee has also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of Ryan's film.
"I'm feeling more inspired than ever after coming off Sinners," the Edge of Seventeen star told the New York Times in January. "I feel like this movie was a door I've been knocking on for a while as far as what it gave me the opportunity to accomplish as an actor."
And, of course, it allowed Hailee to collaborate with an extraordinary cast, including Michael.
"He has such an inviting energy," Hailee said about working with her co-star. "He really established the tone on this set for all of us to show up and feel safe and just in a position to make bold choices and not feel afraid to be vulnerable and make mistakes.”
As she put it, “He’s a good time.”
