Niall Horan is opening up about how his relationship with longtime girlfriend Amelia "Mia" Woolley has shaped both his personal life and upcoming music.

Ahead of releasing his fourth studio album Dinner Party on June 5, the former One Direction member shared that his five-year relationship has been a major influence on the project. Speaking in a recent interview, Horan reflected on how meeting Woolley marked a turning point for him. "I'm glad I found it," he said. "She's amazing and she's got her own thing going on. I love the life that we've got."

Having risen to global fame at just 16 alongside bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and the late Liam Payne, Horan admitted that he never really had the chance to slow down or think about what he wanted long-term. That changed when he met Woolley.

"Since I was a teenager, how my life has played out, I haven't really had the chance," he explained. "I felt ready once I met this person, and this was the first time I put down the roots, the house and the dog in bed."

The couple first met at a dinner party through mutual friends, a moment that would go on to inspire his upcoming single, also titled Dinner Party. Reflecting on that night, Horan said, "Because my relationship started on the night that this song is about," adding that what seemed like a simple evening turned into something much bigger. "It's become the next six years of my life and hopefully the rest of it."

That experience became the foundation for the album, influencing several tracks including "Little More Time." In that song, Horan revisits a moment when he realized he didn't want to leave Woolley behind for work commitments. "I was like, 'I don't want to. I want to stay here with you and do what we do best, which is chilling and being at home,'" he recalled.

Beyond the music, Horan described Woolley as someone he can rely on emotionally. He said their relationship allows him to be open, to talk, and to feel heard.
He also shared that the title track reflects the significance of their first meeting, describing it as a life-changing moment. "This is the first time I thought about like a bigger picture," he said. "That shock to your system, that makes you go, 'Oh f--k, things are different now.'"
