Todd Bridges has officially filed for divorce from his wife, Bettijo B. Hirschi, bringing their marriage to an end just months after announcing their separation.
The Diff'rent Strokes star submitted divorce papers in Maricopa County, Arizona, citing that the marriage is "irretrievably broken." According to court documents, neither Bridges nor Hirschi is seeking spousal support, and the filing indicates that the two have already reached an agreement regarding their assets.
The divorce filing comes less than three months after Bridges publicly confirmed their split. In a statement released earlier this year, he said, "After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate." He added, "This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared."
Bridges, 60, and Hirschi married in September 2022 following a relatively quick relationship. The couple met earlier that year through a dating app and got engaged about six months later before tying the knot in a small ceremony. They did not have any children together, though both have children from previous relationships.
In the court filing, Bridges noted that the couple had attempted to resolve their differences but ultimately concluded that the relationship could not be repaired. Documents also state that the two are no longer living together and do not share any joint property or debts that require division through the court.
During their time together, the pair also worked on joint projects, including launching the DANG! podcast in 2024. Despite the end of their marriage, Bridges previously expressed appreciation for their time together, acknowledging the experiences and family life they built.
This marks Bridges' second divorce. He was previously married to Dori Bridges from 1998 to 2012, with whom he shares two children. Hirschi, for her part, has four children from a previous relationship.
The case will proceed in Arizona, though many of the terms appear to have been settled privately between the two.
