During the Sept. 30 episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the reality star, 42, revealed that 8-year-old True frequently asks her to have another baby. Kardashian shares True and her 4-year-old son, Tatum, with ex Tristan Thompson.
"All True does, she wants a sister," Kardashian told guest Paige DeSorbo, explaining that she has been considering the possibility because she still has a frozen embryo.
"She's on ice. But I just don't know," Kardashian said. "I think girls need a sister, but am I just programmed to think that?"
Kardashian previously discussed the possibility of having another child during a March episode of her podcast. At the time, she said she would "never say never" about expanding her family, particularly if she eventually found a soulmate and married again.
However, she also revealed that she had been considering using one of her remaining frozen embryos to have another daughter on her own.
"I do have a few more embryos in the freezer," Kardashian said. She explained that although she did not think she had the energy for another baby, she sometimes felt that girls benefited from having sisters, partly because of her own upbringing.
Kardashian said she believed Tatum would be fine without a sibling of the same gender, but she felt differently about True. She admitted that the idea of having another baby had crossed her mind, although she was uncertain whether she could handle the experience emotionally.
If she decided to proceed, Kardashian said she would likely use a surrogate. She explained that she believes the experience could be different from her previous pregnancy journey with Tatum, which she described as emotionally difficult.
She also acknowledged that transferring an embryo does not guarantee a pregnancy. Kardashian said she could potentially view an unsuccessful attempt as a sign that she was not meant to have another child.
Despite the uncertainty, Kardashian said giving True a sister remains the main reason she has considered expanding her family.
True is also aware that her mother has a frozen embryo. Kardashian joked that her daughter tells people she has a sister "in the freezer," adding that she sometimes has to explain the context so people do not misunderstand what True means.
For now, Kardashian remains unsure about whether she will have another child, saying she does not feel certain that she has the emotional capacity to do so.
