Theo James, best known for his roles in "The Gentlemen" and HBO’s "The White Lotus," is set to star in the upcoming heist thriller "Fuze," directed by David Mackenzie. James will be joining Aaron Taylor-Johnson, adding to the film's star power. Filming is scheduled to begin in early July.

"Fuze," written by Ben Hopkins, centers on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb at a London construction site. This discovery triggers a mass evacuation, creating the perfect cover for a high-stakes heist. The plot promises an intense blend of historical intrigue and thriller elements, with the setting of post-WWII London providing a unique backdrop for the narrative.

David Mackenzie, known for his acclaimed films "Hell or High Water" and "Outlaw King," will direct the film. His collaboration with Taylor-Johnson in "Outlaw King" was well-received, and fans are eager to see how this new project will unfold. Mackenzie’s recent work includes the television series "Under the Banner of Heaven," featuring Andrew Garfield, which further solidified his reputation for crafting compelling and visually stunning narratives.

The production team behind "Fuze" is equally impressive. Gillian Berrie, known for "Outlaw King" and "Tetris," is producing the film for Sigma Films. Sebastien Raybaud ("The End We Start From," "Greenland") and Callum Grant ("Jackdaw," "Cleaner") are producing for Anton. Anton is fully financing the film, ensuring that the production has the resources needed to bring this ambitious story to life. UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent will co-represent the U.S. rights alongside Anton, signaling strong industry support and interest.

Theo James has been steadily building a diverse and acclaimed filmography. He first gained widespread recognition for his role as Tobias "Four" Eaton in the "Divergent" film series. More recently, he starred in Guy Ritchie’s "The Gentlemen" and earned his first Emmy nomination for his performance as Cameron Sullivan in the second season of HBO's "The White Lotus." His upcoming projects include a starring role in the Stephen King adaptation "The Monkey," alongside Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood. This film was notably sold to Neon following a heated bidding war at the Cannes market.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who will co-star in "Fuze," is also no stranger to high-profile projects. He recently appeared in "The Fall Guy" and is set to play the titular role in Marvel’s "Kraven the Hunter." Additionally, he will appear in Robert Eggers' highly anticipated film "Nosferatu." Taylor-Johnson's versatility and talent make him a valuable addition to the "Fuze" cast, and his previous collaboration with Mackenzie bodes well for the film's success.

Cinematography for "Fuze" will be handled by Giles Nuttgens, who previously worked with Mackenzie on "Hell or High Water." Nuttgens' expertise in creating visually compelling scenes will be crucial in bringing the tense and atmospheric story of "Fuze" to life.

With its intriguing plot, talented cast, and experienced production team, "Fuze" is shaping up to be a standout film in the heist thriller genre. As filming begins in July, audiences can look forward to more updates and a release date announcement. "Fuze" promises to deliver a gripping story set against the dramatic backdrop of post-WWII London, making it a film to watch out for in the coming year.
