Blake Lively is a lady in red — but is she Lady Deadpool? The "It Ends with Us" actress, 36, caused a frenzy online on Monday, July 22, by posting a photo from the set of her husband Ryan Reynolds' highly anticipated "Deadpool & Wolverine," hitting theaters this week.

In the professional shot, Lively kisses Reynolds, 47, who is in full Deadpool costume and makeup, while she wears a top and arm warmer in a matching shade. Fans quickly speculated that her outfit hints she might be playing Lady Deadpool in the movie.

"It's time! Lady Deadpool 🔥," one fan exclaimed. Another asked, "Is this a confirmation that you are in it?💀." Some fans were ready to take action, with one joking, "If Blake isn't Lady Deadpool in the movie I'm starting a petition," and another saying, "If u ain't Lady Deadpool I'm suing at this point 😭😭😭."

Anticipation for "Deadpool & Wolverine '' has been building, with speculation about Lady Deadpool's appearance starting from a teaser in June. The clip showed a pair of legs in a suit similar to Deadpool's, with Reynolds' character saying, "I'm about to lose everything that I've ever cared about." The final trailer, revealing a blonde figure in a red-and-black suit, fueled rumors of Lively's potential role as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new character.

The leg reveal and blonde hair in the trailer gave fans more reason to suspect the "Gossip Girl" alum might be stepping into the role.

Lively shared the kissing snapshot along with a video tribute to Reynolds and his new movie, highlighting its "millennial girl" references. "Tell me Deadpool's married to a millennial girl in real life without telling me ... " she said in a video on her Instagram Stories and grid, followed by a montage from the upcoming superhero comedy.

Her post noted references in the new film, including Avril Lavigne's "I'm with You," Harry Potter, Frozen, Céline Dion, *NSYNC, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Lively joked in her caption that, despite her movie "It Ends with Us" coming out soon, she can't help but support "Deadpool & Wolverine" for its millennial nods.

"It's hard not to encourage my ladies to spot all the ways we've influenced @deadpoolmovie. I've never been more proud. And I've given birth 4 times. 🤣❤️💛," she wrote.

"Deadpool & Wolverine" hits theaters Friday, July 26.
