Keanu Reeves is shifting into high gear with a brand-new docuseries that puts a spotlight on America’s latest high-stakes push into Formula 1. The Hollywood icon and motorsport enthusiast will host and executive produce a behind-the-scenes series chronicling the rise of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, set to debut in the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
The series is being developed with North One, part of RedBird IMI’s All3Media, and promises an insider’s look at the creation of a team trying to break into a sport long dominated by European powerhouses. With exclusive access to the Cadillac F1 Team—backed by TWG Motorsports owners Mark Walter and Thomas Tull in partnership with General Motors—the production will trace the team’s intense journey from inception to the 2026 season opener in Melbourne.
“Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world,” Reeves said. This marks his return to the world of F1 storytelling following the Emmy-winning success of Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, created through his KR&SH Productions with Simon Hammerson.
The Cadillac F1 docuseries is helmed by Hammerson and three-time BAFTA winner Neil Duncanson. According to the producers, the show will deliver a visceral, trackside seat to “the ultimate story of sporting jeopardy” while unpacking the unique challenges of assembling a top-tier F1 team from scratch on a compressed timeline.
Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, called the series “a story of bold ambition and relentless drive.” He added, “We’re honored to work with Keanu, whose passion and knowledge of racing runs deep, and proud to partner with General Motors on this incredible story.”
As the sport gains momentum with U.S. audiences, this new series aims to ignite further interest, offering viewers a rare glimpse into the grit, setbacks, and cultural drive behind launching a distinctly American F1 contender.
With Reeves at the helm, the docuseries is shaping up to be more than just a pit stop in the world of motorsport media—it’s an all-out acceleration toward the future of Formula 1 in America.
