A new era of chills and thrills is on the way for fans of R.L. Stine. The beloved master of children’s horror, best known for his Goosebumps and Fear Street series, is set to see his latest work, Stinetinglers, brought to life as an animated series. The adaptation will be produced by Limestone Animation, a brand-new animation and digital studio based in Ontario, Canada.

This project marks a significant first for Stine — it’s the first time one of his properties has been adapted as an animated series. Stinetinglers, published by Feiwel and Friends/Macmillan, is a horror anthology set in the seemingly peaceful town of Blooming Hills, where mysterious and sinister forces unleash spine-tingling terrors on unsuspecting teens. Four volumes have already been released, with a fifth installment set for 2026.

Limestone Animation, the studio behind the adaptation, is newly launched and co-founded by industry veterans Sean Connolly and Donnie MacIntyre, who serve as co-CEOs. Despite being the company’s first project, the studio is already making waves in the global entertainment space with its ambition to combine cutting-edge animation with imaginative storytelling.

“Animation is the perfect medium to tell the twisted tales of Stinetinglers,” said R.L. Stine. “These spooky stories will be brought to life in a way unlike any of my work before. But more than that, I was blown away by the unique spin the team at Limestone Animation proposed, and I immediately knew they were the right partners to bring my newest stories to screen.”

Connolly and MacIntyre expressed their excitement in a joint statement: “We’re honored that R.L. Stine has trusted us with his latest book series. Stinetinglers is the perfect project to launch our studio with because it represents everything we want Limestone Animation to be — the home of creative storytelling that is bold, imaginative, and designed to bring audiences of all ages together.”
