Lady Gaga is gearing up to re-enter the music scene. During a Q&A at the Los Angeles premiere of her new HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball, on Thursday, May 23, the 38-year-old singer discussed her plans to release new music. She hinted at the release of "LG7" during the final moments of her latest concert film.
"I am in the studio every single day. I've written so many songs, and I've been producing a lot as well. This new music is unlike anything I've ever done before," Gaga revealed. "I love breaking genres and exploring different sounds," she added.
This upcoming album will be her latest since The Fame (2008), The Fame Monster (2009), Born This Way (2011), Artpop (2013), Joanne (2016), and Chromatica (2020). In addition to her solo work, Gaga has collaborated on albums with Tony Bennett—Cheek to Cheek (2014) and Love for Sale (2021)—and significantly contributed to the A Star Is Born soundtrack (2018).
Recently, Gaga has been sharing photos and videos from the studio, indicating that she's hard at work on her next project. In February, she posted a picture of herself leaning over a piano, and the month before, she shared an image from the recording studio.
At the Gaga Chromatica Ball premiere, Gaga donned a white, strapless Selva gown with intricate hole detailing and a white metal structure. For the Q&A portion, she changed into a black ensemble featuring a structural lace jacket and an eye mask.
The new film captures Gaga's 2022 Chromatica Ball tour stop at Dodger Stadium, where she performed hits like "Just Dance," "Poker Face," and "Born This Way" to a sold-out crowd of 52,000. Gaga Chromatica Ball premiered on Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max.
