Iconic alternative rock band Jane's Addiction has canceled the remainder of their US tour following a physical altercation between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro during a September 13 concert in Boston. The incident has left fans stunned and raised concerns about Farrell's well-being.

Eyewitnesses reported that Farrell, 65, threw a punch at Navarro, 57, onstage. Security quickly intervened, restraining Farrell as he attempted to continue the assault. The band's statement on social media confirmed the tour's cancellation, citing the need to "take some time away as a group."

Navarro then elaborated on  his Instagram, asserting, "Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour." He expressed concern for Farrell's "personal health and safety as well as our own."

Etty Lau Farrell, Perry's wife, provided insight into her husband's condition. In a September 21 Instagram post, she revealed, "Perry already has appointments with a otolaryngologist and a neurologist." Lau also mentioned that Farrell had been "suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night" while on tour.

A source close to Farrell told Fox News Digital, "Perry is heartbroken at his actions. He realizes that he waited too long to prioritize his well-being. His exhaustion and the toll it has taken on both his physical and mental health has gone too far."

The cancellation has had far-reaching consequences. Navarro apologized to the crew and opening acts, stating, "I am gutted that things ended this way and that so many jobs were lost as a result."

Despite the turmoil, Lau remains optimistic about her husband's recovery. "With all of your love, kindness, compassion and support, you know, Perry will persevere. He will recover. He will be happy again," she wrote.
