In his heartfelt message, Mendes explained that he needs a bit more time to bring new inspiration and ideas to life. “Hey guys, my team and I have decided to push the album release date to November 15th,” he wrote. “We just need a little bit more time to bring some new inspiration and ideas to life. I love you guys, thank you for being so patient, I can’t wait to see you guys at the next few shows x”.

In 2022, he canceled his Wonder world tour to focus on his mental health, a decision he described as both the hardest and the greatest of his life. The time off allowed him to rediscover himself and channel his experiences into his music.
