A legend in the music industry has passed away. The family of Ace Frehley, the lead guitarist, singer, and original member of KISS, informed several media outlets on October 16 that he had passed away. He was seventy-four.

According to his family's statement read to the outlet, "We are completely devastated and heartbroken." "We had the good fortune to be able to surround him with words, thoughts, prayers, and intentions that were peaceful, loving, and caring as he passed away. We celebrate his strengths and the kindness he showed others, and we treasure all of his best memories and his laughter."

After considering his enduring influence, Frehley's family said, "The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions and beyond comprehension."

"Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements," the statement added, "Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!"

In the weeks leading up to his death, Frehley postponed the remaining dates of his 2025 tour "due to some ongoing medical issues."

After his team revealed that the rock star had been hospitalized following a "minor fall in his studio," the decision was made.

A statement posted to his Instagram on September 25 said, "He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from traveling at this time." "As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California, on Friday, September 26th."

Additionally, Frehley was making progress in his career even though he was dealing with a difficult health battle prior to his untimely death.

Actually, the instrumentalist had been working on Origins Vol. 4, his upcoming solo album, in addition to his 2025 tour dates.

Of course, Frehley's remarkable contributions to music as a solo artist weren't the only thing he accomplished. He released 11 albums under his stage name, Spaceman, and his real name.

In addition to releasing 14 platinum-selling albums, he produced hits like "I Was Made For Lovin' You," "Rock and Roll All Nite," and "Detroit Rock City" while he was a member of KISS, a band he founded with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss.

The original members of the face-painting band, who broke up in the early 1980s and didn't perform as a group again until 2000, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

In 2014, Frehley told Billboard, "It’s like we had never been apart and we’re brothers in rock’n’roll," after getting back together to accept the award. "This enigma that we hate each other and all that kind of insanity is created by the press, but it's not true at all."
