After nearly three years away from the BRIT Awards stage, Harry Styles made a triumphant return on Saturday night with the first live performance of his new single Aperture. The performance marked the official start of his latest musical chapter, the Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally era, and set the tone for an evening celebrating the best in British music.
The moment was introduced with a comedic prelude featuring BRIT Awards host Jack Whitehall. The skit opened in a barbershop, where Whitehall scrolled through his phone and reacted to news that Styles would be taking a break from music in 2023. What followed was a playful montage of Whitehall imagining chance encounters with the singer. In one scene he believed he spotted Styles while jogging. In another he embraced Styles wax figure at Madame Tussauds. The lighthearted sequence ended with Whitehall finally arriving at the ceremony just in time for the highly anticipated performance.
Styles then appeared on a set of bleachers surrounded by dozens of dancers dressed in black sunglasses and T shirts decorated with snail graphics. Wearing high waisted dress pants and a shirt with a tie, he leaned fully into the disco inspired mood that defines this new era. As Aperture began, he led the choreography with controlled confidence before stepping forward to join his live band and a group of gospel singers. The performance built steadily in energy, culminating in a finale where the dancers encircled him in the center of the venue, waving their hands in perfect synchronization as the song reached its peak.
Aperture serves as the lead single from Styles fourth studio album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which is scheduled for release on March 6. The track debuted on January 22 and immediately claimed the number one position on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the United Kingdom singles chart. The album promises a strong synthesizer presence, reflecting Styles continued evolution as an artist and his embrace of dance driven influences.
Following the album release, Styles will perform a special one night only show at Manchesters Co op Live before embarking on a global tour titled Together, Together. The tour begins on May 16 in Amsterdam with a ten night run and includes twelve nights in London where he is set to break records at Wembley Stadium. Additional stops include multiple shows in Sao Paulo, Mexico City, New York City at Madison Square Garden, Melbourne, and Sydney. The tour follows the massive success of Love on Tour, which ran from September 2021 through July 2023 and supported both Fine Line and Harrys House.
Styles momentum shows no signs of slowing. He is scheduled to serve as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 14, marking his second time taking on double duty. He will also curate the Meltdown festival at Londons Southbank Centre, where he is set to headline.
The 2026 BRIT Awards, held at Manchesters Co op Live, once again provided a stage for defining moments in British music. With this dynamic debut of Aperture, Harry Styles not only returned to the BRITs but firmly signaled the arrival of his disco charged new era.
