Taylor Swift is celebrating her reunion with her longtime band after performing together for the first time in nearly two years at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
The 14-time Grammy winner took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 20, to share photos from the star-studded event, which took place on Saturday, October 17. Swift wore a custom ice-blue Dior gown for the occasion and performed a four-song set to close the evening.
"A night at the museum I'll never forget! Thank you to the @academymuseum for inviting us," she wrote alongside the photos. "Getting to perform with the band again for the first time in almost 2 years was a VIBE," Swift added. "And I got to sit with my @toystory 5 family."
The singer performed "Blank Space," "The Fate of Ophelia," "I Knew It, I Knew You" and "Love Story" for an audience that included Hollywood stars and filmmakers. Conan O'Brien introduced her before the performance, joking that she was "John, Paul, George and Ringo all in one."
The evening also gave Swift an opportunity to celebrate her connection to Toy Story 5. Her Instagram post included a photo with Joan Cusack, who voices Jessie in the animated film. Swift's song "I Knew It, I Knew You" was written for the movie after the singer watched an early version of the project.
Released in June, the track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and U.S. country radio charts, marking Swift's first chart-topper on country radio in 13 years.
Swift's performance at the gala marked her return to a full set with her band following the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras Tour in December 2024. The singer's latest appearance brought her back onstage alongside the musicians who accompanied her throughout the tour.
The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala raised funds for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, supporting its exhibitions, educational initiatives and public programming. This year's event honoured filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actress Charlize Theron for their contributions to cinema.
