What made the 'Friends' cast so iconic? Lisa Kudrow says it was all about communication—a skill she admits she had to work on.

Speaking on Dax Shepard's 'Armchair Expert' podcast, Kudrow reminisced about her time with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry. "If someone said or did something, it didn't get too big because it was, 'Can I talk to you?'" she shared.

Kudrow credited her co-stars, especially Cox, Aniston, and LeBlanc, for modeling effective communication. "I had to learn to be like, 'Can I talk to you about something?' It took time, but it made us stronger."

The camaraderie the cast developed extended beyond the set of the hit NBC series, which aired from 1994 to 2004. They famously supported each other through personal challenges, most recently mourning the tragic death of Matthew Perry in 2023. "We were more than just castmates. We are a family," the group stated in tribute to their late friend.

Now starring in Netflix's 'No Good Deed', Kudrow said she feels lucky to still be associated with 'Friends'. "It's a blessing. I'm too grateful," she said.

The 'Friends' bond may have taken effort, but it paid off—both on-screen and in their enduring connection as one of TV's most beloved casts.
