By Monday’s fourth and final day of Milan Fashion Week menswear previews for next spring and summer, designers seemed to have understood the assignment.
Looks appeared more weather appropriate than on the weekend, as soaring temperatures provided a reminder that warm-weather dressing can mean covered, but in a relaxed way that accommodates elegance and playfulness.

He was known for designs with broad shoulders and sharp tailoring, inspired by 1940s and 50s glamour.
Mugler's designs were worn by stars including David Bowie and Lady Gaga. He created many stage costumes for Beyoncé and in 2019 designed Kim Kardashian's famous "wet dress" for the Met Gala.
In later years, his brand became famous for perfumes, such as Angel and Alien.
"We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022," a post on Mugler's official Facebook account confirmed.
Fashion mogul Peter Nygard was arrested Monday in Winnipeg on sex trafficking and racketeering charges brought by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York.
The nine-count indictment charges Nygard with “a decades long pattern of criminal conduct involving at least dozens of victims in the United States, the Bahamas and Canada,” acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a release.
The arrest follows searches back in February of his company's Times Square headquarters.
That same month women identified only as Jane Does Nos. 1-10 accused Nygard, 79, of grooming and enticing underage girls and women to his Bahamas estate – which has been featured on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” – where he would sexually assault them.
