Four individuals, namely Tifany Adams, Tad Cullum, Cora Twombly, and Cole Twombly, are being held accountable for the abduction and initial killing of two Kansas women who disappeared a month ago. They belong to the anti-government organization "God's Misfits" and are thought to get together with other Oklahomans on a regular basis.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has described the case of Veronica Butler, who was last seen abandoned beside a highway on March 30, as sad, including two fatalities and four individuals involved in a violent crime.

Adams, Butler's children's paternal grandmother, and the ladies fought over custody. Adams reportedly bought stun guns and prepaid burner mobile phones before the ladies vanished. Her search history on the internet showed questions about the degree of pain caused by various weapons.

On March 30, Veronica Butler, Jilian Kelley, and Butler's grandmother gathered at a highway crossroads. Cullum excavated a pit in his field next to Adams, where Kelley and Butler intended to swap kids the following day. Cora Twombly, a teenage witness, reportedly intended to make it appear like an accident by hurling an anvil through Butler's windshield as she was driving. Butler and Kelley disappeared while traveling to pick up Butler's children from Adams for a birthday celebration.

On suspicion of abduction and first-degree murder, Tifany Adams and her spouse, Tifany Butler, were placed under arrest. Butler's children could only see their father under supervision on Saturdays while he was in treatment. The parents were labeled "very young and immature" by the Oklahoma Court of Appeals, which also charged them with improper behavior.

The April court appearance for young mother Cora Twombly follows a violent argument between Butler and Kelley. Butler had an anvil thrown through his windshield, making it appear as though there had been an accident. When Butler and Kelley's car was discovered abandoned on March 30, blood evidence from the location suggested a violent altercation.

The remains of two women were discovered on March 30 in an "absolutely brutal crime" next to a field that was rented. After burner phones stopped functioning and a grave was excavated and covered with hay in the field, the remains were recognized. During the first inquiry, Butler's children's whereabouts were unclear, but Adams said she left them with another couple from God's Misfits on March 29 and 30.
