A new chapter is being celebrated by Carmen Andrade. The TikToker said that she had secretly wed boyfriend Daniel McCormack. She is a conjoined twin with her sister, Lupita Andrade.
"We eloped in October,” the 25-year-old confirmed to TODAY.com in an interview published July 10, "with our families.”
The outlet claims that Carmen and Daniel, who first connected on Hinge in 2020, were married on New Milford, Connecticut's Lover's Leap Bridge.
The news was originally revealed by the couple and Lupita at the conclusion of an "Overdue Update!" YouTube video that was posted last month.
In the video, Carmen stated, "We should probably also address something else pretty big." "I did get married."
The 28-year-old Daniel clarified that their wedding solely featured "local family"—"as in not the extended family."
"I don't like those weddings where they invite, like, the third cousin twice removed," observed the man. "I'm sorry, but great-uncle Patrick, who I haven't seen since I was three, you're not worth a seat at my table. I'm sorry."
Carmen also talked about her decision to forgo a more conventional white wedding gown in favor of a shimmering, floor-length emerald gown.
Regarding her wedding, the content creator remarked, "It was very pretty," and "It was much more beautiful because it was fall." I didn't dress in white. Avoid regretting it. White doesn't appeal to me. Not my thing.
As the couple discussed their special day, pictures from the celebration appeared on screen that showed them posing together and with family, with Daniel wearing a classic tuxedo with a dark green bowtie that matched Carmen's dress.
Additionally, the bride made sure to clarify.
"Before anybody gets it twisted: We got married," Carmen gestured to Daniel and herself. "But we did not get married," she continued, indicating Lupita and the two of them at the moment.
Lupita, who considers herself asexual, is not interested in being bound.
"I'm not interested in getting married," she declared, "because I don't want to."
Carmen had previously talked about how Daniel stood out from other men she had spoken to on Hinge and how she knew he was the one for her.
"I got a lot of messages from guys with fetishes," she said in 2023 when speaking to TODAY. "I immediately recognized Daniel's differences from the others, because he didn’t lead with a question about my condition. I have social anxiety, and I’ve ended up canceling dates at the last minute, but I felt calm on the way there."
