LULULEMON TAKES LEGAL ACTION AGAINST COSTCO OVER ALLEGED PRODUCT KNOCK-OFFS

Lululemon, the renowned athletic and lifestyle apparel company, has initiated legal proceedings against Costco, accusing the wholesale giant of unlawfully selling counterfeit versions of its popular merchandise. Filed in a California court, the lawsuit alleges that Costco's private label, Kirkland, along with products from manufacturers Danskin, Jockey, and Spyder, are infringing on Lululemon's intellectual property rights.

Adolfo Macías Villamar, known as "Fito," one of Latin America's most dangerous drug lords, has been captured in a joint security operation that ended his six-month flight from justice. The 45-year-old leader of the Los Choneros gang was arrested early Wednesday beneath a luxury mansion in Manta, Ecuador, in what authorities called a "silent but decisive victory."

PRADA ACKNOWLEDGES INDIAN ROOTS OF SANDALS

Italian fashion house Prada has acknowledged the Indian origins of its new footwear line following a controversy in India. The sandals, which were showcased at Milan Fashion Week last week, feature an open-toe braided design closely resembling traditional Kolhapuri sandals from the Indian states of Maharashtra and Karnataka.

TRUMP URGES ISRAEL TO DROP NETANYAHU CORRUPTION CASE

US President Donald Trump has urged Israel to either "pardon" or drop the corruption case against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is on trial. In a social media post, Trump also claimed the US had "saved" Israel and would now also "save" Netanyahu. Netanyahu denies charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, and has been on trial since 2020.

Tehran's streets turned solemn on Saturday as tens of thousands mourned the deaths of 60 Iranians, including senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, in a state funeral that marked the devastating toll of the 12-day war with Israel. Japan has criticized US President Donald Trump for equating recent US strikes on Iran to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended World War II. "That hit ended the war," Trump said on Wednesday, adding, "I don't want to use an example of Hiroshima, I don't want to use an example of Nagasaki, but that was essentially the same thing."

Eight people tragically lost their lives in a recent boating accident in Lake Tahoe.

Josh Pickles, a 37-year-old San Francisco DoorDash executive, and his parents, Terry Pickles, 73, and Paula Bozinovic, 71, were among the victims, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Division told ABC 7 San Francisco. According to a family spokesperson who spoke to the outlet, Josh's uncle Peter Bayes, 72, also perished in the accident.
