The NFL regular season is just around the corner, and all 32 teams are in the final stages of preparing their rosters. As the preseason came to a close over the weekend, teams must now trim their squads from 90 players to the final 53 by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. This process is filled with tough decisions, as players who have been battling for a spot on the team are either cut or make the final roster.

Week 3 of the preseason gave players one last chance to impress coaches and secure their place. One of the standout performances came from Carolina Panthers' quarterback Bryce Young, the 2023 first overall pick. Despite a challenging rookie season, Young showed promise in his brief appearance against the Buffalo Bills. Completing 6 of 8 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, Young demonstrated his potential to lead the Panthers, providing hope for the team moving into the regular season.

Another young quarterback, Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts, had an up-and-down performance in the Colts' win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Richardson led a successful opening drive, showcasing his talent with a touchdown pass. However, he also threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, highlighting the inconsistency that the Colts will need to address as the season progresses.

While many teams have their starting quarterbacks set, the New England Patriots remain undecided. After releasing former first-round pick Mac Jones, the Patriots signed veteran Jacoby Brissett and drafted Drake Maye. The competition for the starting position is still open, with head coach Jerod Mayo expected to announce his decision soon. Brissett's injury during the final preseason game against the Washington Commanders complicates the situation, giving Maye more opportunities to prove himself.

As teams finalize their rosters, the excitement and anticipation for the 2024 NFL season continue to build. Fans eagerly await the return of football, hoping their teams have made the right choices to set them up for success in the months ahead.
