The New York Jets are making significant moves to rebuild after a disappointing season, having completed interviews with Ron Rivera for their head coaching position and Louis Riddick for the general manager role. The Jets began their hiring process after parting ways with head coach Robert Saleh in October and GM Joe Douglas in November.

Ron Rivera, 62, brings a wealth of experience from his 13 years as an NFL head coach. He previously led the Carolina Panthers to a 15-1 season and a Super Bowl appearance in 2015. Most recently, Rivera coached the Washington Commanders from 2020 to 2023 before transitioning to a role as an analyst for ESPN and Westwood One. His career record stands at 102-103-2.

Meanwhile, Louis Riddick, 55, is a familiar face in NFL circles. The former defensive back and current ESPN analyst has extensive front-office experience, having worked as a scout and director of pro personnel for Washington and the Philadelphia Eagles. He has been a contender for GM roles in the past, including with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Jets have also interviewed Thomas Dimitroff, Jon Robinson, and Jim Nagy for the GM position. With interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich and interim GM Phil Savage overseeing the end of the Jets' 4-12 season, the new leadership faces critical decisions—including the future of 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets' fanbase eagerly awaits the announcement of a new regime that can turn around the team's fortunes. The combination of Rivera's coaching acumen and Riddick's front-office expertise could be the fresh start the Jets need.
