The teenage sensation sealed victory in Miami, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri completing the top three after a dramatic late twist involving Charles Leclerc.
Mercedes prodigy Kimi Antonelli delivered another statement performance to claim victory at the Miami Grand Prix, writing his name into the record books with a third consecutive win from pole position at the very start of his Formula One career.
The 19-year-old's triumph strengthens his position at the summit of the drivers' standings, creating further distance between himself and teammate George Russell. Russell also enjoyed a strong finish, executing a decisive last-lap move on Max Verstappen to secure fourth place.
For much of the race, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc looked set to secure a podium finish behind McLaren's Lando Norris, who drove a composed race to take second. However, the closing stages brought unexpected drama when Leclerc clipped the wall, sustaining damage that forced him out of contention.
That costly mistake opened the door for Oscar Piastri, who capitalised immediately to move into third and ensure a double podium finish for McLaren. Leclerc, meanwhile, tumbled down the order, ultimately finishing sixth after what had appeared to be a controlled and competitive outing.
Antonelli's performance once again underlined his remarkable composure and consistency, particularly for a driver so early in his career. Leading from the front, he managed the race with precision, rarely appearing under threat despite pressure from experienced challengers behind.
The result not only reinforces his growing reputation but also signals a potential shift in the competitive landscape, with Mercedes and McLaren both demonstrating strong pace.
As the season progresses, attention will remain firmly fixed on whether Antonelli can maintain this extraordinary run, while rivals regroup following another race shaped by both brilliance and late-race misfortune.
