OpenAI, the prominent artificial intelligence company, has announced plans to discontinue its services in China, with additional blocking measures set to take effect on July 9, 2024. This decision comes amid growing geopolitical tensions and increasing pressure from Washington on US tech companies to restrict China's access to advanced American technologies.

Car dealerships in the USA and Canada faced significant disruption as cyber-criminals targeted CDK Global, a software provider serving over 15,000 locations. Lisa Finney, a CDK Global spokeswoman, confirmed the incidents, stating, "We are actively investigating a cyber-incident."

In a milestone a decade in the making, Boeing's Starliner mission successfully launched its first crewed flight test on Wednesday. The highly anticipated voyage lifted off atop an Atlas V rocket at 10:52 a.m. ET from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Veteran NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are aboard the Starliner capsule, journeying to the International Space Station (ISS).

The US and Europe have separately announced major takedowns of cybercrime networks that defrauded people of billions. The US arrested Chinese national YunHe Wang and seized assets including a Ferrari, luxury watches and 21 properties. While Europol, Europe's crime agency, has made four arrests but said eight fugitives are on the run. They will be added to Europe’s "most wanted" list.
