NVIDIA TAKES $2 BILLION STAKE IN SYNOPSYS AS THE COMPANIES EXPAND AI AND COMPUTING PARTNERSHIP

Cloudflare, a key internet infrastructure firm, apologized to its customers and the wider internet for a "significant outage" on Tuesday that impacted numerous high-profile websites, such as X and Chat. The company stated the disruption occurred when a configuration file meant for threat traffic failed to function as intended, "triggering a crash" in its core service traffic handling software. "We apologise to our customers and the Internet in general for letting you down today," it said in a statement.

A widespread outage at Cloudflare early Tuesday sent shockwaves across the internet and exposed just how dependent many websites and digital services are on a handful of infrastructure providers. The disruption affected thousands of users and briefly took down or slowed platforms including ChatGPT, X, League of Legends, Shopify, Dropbox, Coinbase and even public transit systems.

A week after the release of emails detailing his communications with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers is stepping down from the board at OpenAI. Summers, who also served as president of Harvard University, had indicated on Monday that he would be withdrawing from public engagements over his Epstein connections. He released a statement saying he was "grateful for the opportunity to have served, excited about the potential of the company, and look forward to following their progress.”
