Prince William made a stately appearance during Royal Week, joining King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the Thistle Service held at St. Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 3. Also present was Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. The event saw both Queen Camilla and Prince Edward officially receiving the Order of the Thistle, Scotland's highest order of chivalry.
According to the BBC, the Order of the Thistle is a prestigious honor bestowed by the reigning monarch. It recognizes 16 knights who have made significant contributions to national life or held public office, as well as additional royal knights.
Following the ceremony at St. Giles’ Cathedral, Camilla and Edward were seen departing in their distinctive green velvet robes and hats adorned with feather plumes. Prince William also donned a velvet robe complete with gold tassels during the service, embodying the regal tradition of the event.
While fulfilling his royal duties, Prince William has also been seen engaging in family activities. In June, he attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in London with his children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9. The outing was a break from protocol, showcasing the prince's lighter side.
