Blake Lively cherishes her role as a "crown straightener." On Wednesday, July 10, the 36-year-old actress shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the screening of her upcoming film, It Ends with Us, based on the 2016 novel by the same name.
In the snapshots, Lively is seen assisting her co-star, Isabela Ferrer, with her outfit and helping It Ends with Us author, Colleen Hoover, with her dress. Lively expressed her heartfelt sentiments about the joy she finds in supporting other women.
"I received what might be the greatest compliment of my life this weekend. Someone on social media called me a 'crown straightener,'" Lively wrote in her caption while tying Hoover's pink dress in a bathroom. "A woman going around straightening all the women's crowns around her. It meant so much to me because it's those invisible things people see that make us all feel best."
In another photo, the Gossip Girl alum sat on the floor, fixing Ferrer's jeans, followed by images of her adjusting Hoover's hair. Lively was also pictured having her makeup touched up and hugging her mother-in-law, Tammy Reynolds.
"I learned that we're all sparkling leaders 👑, stronger together, from all the women in my life, both blood and chosen," the A Simple Favor star continued. "I am surrounded by crown straighteners. This weekend alone was packed with that empowering female energy."
The post included a picture of Lively walking with staff at Sony Pictures and a black-and-white photo of her sitting in a theater.
"When I looked back at these pics, I saw it all in action," she added. "And it made me feel so lucky and loved. From @colleenhoover to her best friend, the powerhouse @tarrynfisher, to my divine mother-in-law @tamtam1944, to the most loving and generous person to watch @itendswithusmovie next to @isabela.ferrer, to the women who make me feel most beautiful inside and out @vivianbaker & @jennifer_yepez."
Lively then posed with Hoover, 44, and fellow author Tarryn Fisher, concluding the post with a shot of her, Ferrer, and Hoover's shoes.
"To the women at @sonypictures making such immense effort to bring joy look easy, especially Danni, Emily, Cori, Bridgette, Rose, Chrissy, Gloria, Stephanie, Ulga, the women at @book.bonanza volunteering and attending," Lively added. "And the men who show up for us too. We love you."
It Ends with Us follows Lively's character, Lily, who moves to a new city after college graduation and falls in love with a man named Ryle. However, her life takes a twist when her old high school flame reappears. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 9.
