Regarding his relationship with his estranged daughter, Elon Musk is being open. According to the CEO of Tesla, 20-year-old Vivian Jenna Wilson, whom he shares with his ex-wife Justine Wilson, was "killed" by "the woke mind virus" when she sought out gender-affirming medical care following her disclosure of her transgender identity.
"I was basically duped into signing paperwork," Elon stated in a July 23 interview with The Wire. "This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion."
According to the SpaceX founder, he only consented to sign the documents allowing Vivian to receive gender-affirming care because he was informed that she "might commit suicide" if he didn't.
Elon said, "I was duped into doing this." "I lost my son, essentially."
He continued, pointing out that calling a transgender person by their previous name is known as "deadnaming," and that the reason for this is that your son has passed away.
And Elon, who also has twin brothers Griffin and Vivian Musk, the late Nevada Alexander Musk, and the 16-year-old triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk with Justine, doesn't want to go through that grief again. He continued, "I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that, and we’re making some progress."
After submitting a petition to alter her name because of her gender identity and her broken relationship with the patriarch, Vivian dissolved her relationship with Elon in 2022.
In court records that E! News was able to access at the time, Vivian stated, "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form."
In addition to his children with Justine, Elon also shares kids X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 2, and Techno Mechanicus, whose birth was confirmed in 2023, with ex Grimes, as well as three kids—2-year-old twins Strider and Azure and a third baby welcomed in March—with partner Shivon Zilis.
The 53-year-old also revealed that he has close relationships with his other children, despite the fact that he is no longer in contact with Vivian.
In an interview that was published on June 23, Elon stated to the Financial Times, "I have very good relationships with all the others." "I can't win them all."
