Tommy Fury's family friend, Lissie Rhodes, has publicly denied rumors that the boxer is the father of her newborn baby. This denial comes amidst the backdrop of Fury's recent split from his long-time partner, Molly-Mae Hague.
Fans quickly began to speculate on the reasons behind the split, with some claims suggesting that Fury had fathered a child with Rhodes. These rumors were further amplified by the fact that Rhodes, an influencer and close family friend of the Furys, had recently welcomed a baby boy named Shakur.
Breaking her silence on the matter, Rhodes took to TikTok to address the rumors head-on. In a straightforward post, she stated, "Tommy Fury is not my baby's dad" Rhodes' father, Ryan, who is a professional boxing coach and manager closely associated with the Fury family, also weighed in on the matter.
In an Instagram post, he expressed his disbelief at the rumors, saying, "It's ten to seven and I'm on my way to the gym and I can't believe what I'm reading. I can't believe it. The speculation, the hearsay, tittle tattle." He further emphasized the happiness of his daughter and her family, urging those spreading the rumors to "get a life."
Ryan Rhodes also shared a photograph of Lissie, her partner Barry, and their son Shakur, which Lissie reposted. This family portrait was intended to reinforce the message that Barry, not Tommy Fury, is the father of Shakur. "Guys, Lissie, Barry, and our Shakur are so happy. So happy. We've got a life, you need to get one. Let's have it!" Ryan said.
The timing of these rumors could not have been worse for Tommy Fury, who has been dealing with the emotional fallout from his breakup with Molly-Mae Hague. The couple, who met on the reality show "Love Island," had been together for five years and share a daughter named Bambi. Their split came as a shock to many, especially given that recent social media posts had shown no signs of trouble in their relationship.
Molly-Mae, in her own statement, expressed her heartbreak over the end of their relationship. "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way," she wrote. She also emphasized her commitment to their daughter, saying, "I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority."
