There are new details available regarding Lucy-Bleu Knight's passing. Lucy-Bleu's stepfather, Slash, who has a nine-year girlfriend named Meegan Hodges with her, announced her death one month prior, and the L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner verified that she took her own life.
According to a press release dated August 29, law enforcement discovered the 25-year-old unresponsive on July 19 while performing a welfare check at a private residence. At 3:30 p.m., she was pronounced deceased.
The tragic update was posted on the Guns n' Roses guitarist's Instagram in late July.
At the time, Slash (real name Saul Hudson) wrote, "Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998)." "Beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed peacefully in Los Angeles, CA, on July 19, 2024."
"Lucy-Bleu was a gifted artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul," the statement said.
The musician discussed her passing and his relationship with his stepdaughter in a follow-up post.
"My heart is forever broken," he wrote next to a picture of Lucy-Bleu. "I will always remember how much joy, laughter, creativity, and beauty you have always radiated, and I will never stop missing you." & still do. The source of the greatest light for all the people who cherished you greatly. I hope that you are now at peace, and that gives me comfort. I shall always love you."
Throughout her grieving process, Meegan, Lucy Bleu's mother, has kept sending her daughter comments under the post.
In her letter, she said, "Today was really hard." "I believe you to be relaxed. I know it's selfish of me, but I wish you were here with me. I simply want to give you a hug and express my love for you."
She said, "God, I can't stand how much I miss you," the most recently. "I'd like to hug you. Cuddle up, give yourself a back rub, and fiddle with your hair. I want to give you a quick tickle on your arm to let you know that I've got you. that you have my undying love."
