Eduardo Xol, a cherished member of the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" team, has tragically passed away at the age of 58. Xol was found with severe injuries in his Palm Springs apartment on September 10th. He succumbed to his injuries on September 20th at Desert Regional Medical Center. The Riverside County coroner confirmed his death, and his mother shared the heartbreaking news with TMZ.

The Palm Springs Police Department has arrested Richard Joseph Gonzales, 34, in connection with the stabbing. Gonzales, who is currently being held without bail, has been charged with murder. Reports indicate that Gonzales called the police the day Xol was found, claiming he had been the victim of an assault the previous night.

Richard Pérez-Feria, a close friend and producer, expressed his sorrow on Instagram, writing, "It's nearly incomprehensible that I'm writing this post as a goodbye to someone who has been so present, so important in my life. When I first learned that Eduardo Xol had passed, I went numb. It was impossible to process that information as it didn't square with my thousands of experiences with him."

Pérez-Feria continued, "I want to honor my dear friend and celebrate his life as one that mattered to so many. He certainly mattered to me. Sending healing love at this horrific time to his circle of friends and family who loved him so. Sadly, tomorrow isn't promised. Love each other. Rest in peace, Eduardo."

Xol's contributions to "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" spanned from seasons 2 to 8, where he brought his landscaping expertise to the forefront, helping to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces for the families featured on the show. His work was not just about aesthetics; it was about creating environments that fostered healing and growth for those in need.

One fan tweeted, "Eduardo Xol was such a bright light on 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.' His passion for helping others was evident in every episode. He will be greatly missed."
