Jen Shah received some absolutely amazing news. According to prisoner records obtained by E! News, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum's sentence has been lowered twice since her conviction on a charge of conspiring to commit wire fraud.

In February 2023, the reality star reported to Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas to start her six-and-a-half year sentence. However, her sentence was reduced by one year in just one month. The outlet reports that the 51-year-old's projected release date has been moved up to December 19, 2027, after an additional eight months were removed from her sentence.

Shah was detained in March 2021 in relation to an alleged telemarketing scheme that targeted senior citizens, as detailed in a dramatic RHOSLC season two episode. She first insisted on her innocence, but in July 2022, a week before her case was scheduled to go to trial, she finally entered a guilty plea.

She expressed her regret to the court then, saying, "I knew it was wrong, many people were harmed, and I'm so sorry."

Even after spending more than a year behind bars and making friends with Elizabeth Holmes, a fellow prisoner, the Bravolebrity has managed to comment on the drama unfolding on RHOSLC.

A message ascribed to Shah was shared on her Instagram Story following the broadcast of the season four finale in January, in which co-star Heather Gay claimed that Shah was the reason behind her enigmatic black eye from the previous season.

She exclaimed, "BRAVO, you guys would have footage to prove it if I punched Heather in the eye." "It's evident that the show can't function without me because I was mentioned at the start, middle, and finish of season 4."
