Khloe Kardashian is being open about a 2022 procedure that removed cancerous tissue from her face. The 40-year-old shared multiple pictures of the large indent on her right cheek to illustrate why she needed facial fillers.
Khloe posted a picture of her changed facial composition on Snapchat on October 11 along with the caption, "I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face as a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed." "I didn't get the indentation filled for nine months following surgery."
"We had to make sure medically everything was safe, and my doctor gave me the go ahead," the reality star said when asked why she had been away from the indent for so long.
After receiving one round of filler injections, Khloe, who has a 6-year-old daughter named True Thompson and a 2-year-old son named Tatum Thompson with her ex-husband Tristan Thompson, posted before-and-after pictures of her facial indent.
After the procedure, she also shared a picture of her heavily bandaged face.
The founder of Good American first discussed her facial tumor on social media in 2022. She said she had a biopsy done after noticing a tiny bump on her face that persisted after seven months.
The mother of two disclosed that she had melanoma on her back when she was 19 years old. She kept a close eye on the condition and had the tumor removed by doctors.
In the third season of The Kardashians, she also documented the procedure, pointing out that the doctor had to remove a bigger portion than anticipated. Later, Khloe encouraged followers on social media to get skin cancer screenings "consistently."
In 2023, she posted on Instagram, "I never thought that this tiny spec would turn into skin cancer, and I can't fathom what could have happened had I not gone to the doctor to get it looked at."
