After a seven-year battle with a rare liver cancer, Rachel Yaffe, who gained over 55,000 followers on TikTok for her wellness and lifestyle-forward videos, passed away on October 11. Her age was 27.

She is survived by her parents, Linda and Wayne Yaffe, siblings, Jordan and Jessica Yaffe, and her dog, Layla, according to her obituary, which also stated that the funeral services for the TikToker will be private.

Early last month, the content creator from New York gave her followers an update on her health.

In a video posted on September 1, she said to her followers, "I lost so much of my strength when I was getting radiation." Thus, I'm beginning on day one. Getting up has been really difficult. and force myself to move, so I’m working on doing that.”

Her struggle had been challenging "both physically and mentally," she continued.

Rachel clarified, "I'm really just focusing on the little things that bring me joy." Additionally, I'm giving my mental health top priority. That provides a general update on my current location.

During her fight with cancer, Rachel had utilized her internet presence to foster a supportive community for people looking for guidance on how to live a happier, healthier life despite illness.

In a July TikTok, Rachel clarified, "I know I don't look like the stereotypical cancer patient." "That's one of the reasons I enjoy sharing my story on this platform, encouraging hope, and offering a fresh viewpoint."

The TikToker highlighted that she had survived treatment valleys that her doctors did not think she would.

According to her, "the universe only gives people what they can handle." "I'm confident I can manage it. Additionally, I can state with absolute certainty that this journey has improved my self-awareness and made me a happier, more appreciative person.

Many of Rachel's fans grieved by watching her videos after the news of her passing broke.

One fan commented, "This is heartbreaking to hear." "You were such a lovely person and a beacon of light, Rachel. We appreciate you sharing yourself with us all. My sincerest sympathies to your friends and family. I hope your lovely soul finds peace. may your memory be a continued blessing.”
