Chris Copier has proposed to Hallmark actress Hunter King, who recently celebrated her 31st birthday on Saturday, October 19. King announced their engagement on Thursday, October 24, with a heartwarming Instagram Reel capturing the romantic beachside moment.
In the sweet video, The Young and the Restless Emmy winner shares a kiss with Copier, joined by their dogs, Poppy and Leo, on the sandy shore. Just moments later, Copier drops to one knee, sparking King's joyful reaction as she jumps in excitement, then falls to her knees and hugs him. After exchanging a kiss, Copier places the ring on King's finger.
Though the video itself has no sound, King chose "Simply the Best" by The Hound + The Fox as the background track for her post.
King shared her excitement in the caption, writing, "Best day of my life🤍 @chriscope88 I can't wait to marry your ass💍."
Her sister, Joey King, celebrated the happy news in the comments and on her Instagram Stories. Joey, 25, commented, "WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm so happy for you guys. The sweetest most wonderful news🥹🥹🥹." In her Stories, Joey also posted Hunter's video, excitedly adding, "Getting a brother!!!!!! So happy for @chriscope88 & @hunterking."
Hunter and Copier have kept their relationship mostly private. Fans first caught a glimpse of their romance when she shared moments from their time together in her year-end Instagram post for 2023. The two originally met on the set of Give Me Your Eyes in early 2022, where Hunter starred, and Copier was assistant director, according to Just Jared.
Since dating, Hunter has posted heartfelt tributes to Copier, including one on his birthday and another on Valentine's Day. "Happy birthday to the guy who does it all❤️," she captioned an Instagram post on March 27, sharing her gratitude for Copier's thoughtful gestures, like making matzo ball soup when she's sick and enduring tofu recipes just because she loves them. "Thank you for loving me the way you do. Here's to many more birthdays together 🍻Love you."
Just the month prior, she posted a playful Valentine's Day message: "Roses are red, violets are blue, even though the Raiders may always lose, I will always love you ❤️."
The couple continues to work together, with Hunter starring in the Hallmark movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, set to premiere on November 30 as part of Hallmark Channel's 15th annual Countdown to Christmas event. Hunter plays Alana, the film's lead, while Copier is assistant director.
