Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, 44, revealed that she is pregnant with her third child, her first with her current boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, 35. The exciting news comes just two years after Bündchen's highly publicized divorce from former NFL quarterback Tom Brady.
According to a close source to the couple, the ex girlfriend "informed Tom [Brady] and their two children that she was pregnant with Joaquim Valente's child before the news broke." Although , it remains unclear exactly how long the Bündchen-Brady family had known about the pregnancy prior to the public announcement.
The expectant parents are "happy for this new chapter in their life and they're looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family," the a certain source reported.
Bündchen and Valente, a Jiu-Jitsu instructor, were first romantically linked in November 2022, but their relationship did not become public until June 2023. The couple has kept their relationship relatively private, though a source told Page Six in August that they are "deeply in love" and spend a significant amount of time together.
This will be Bündchen's third child. She shares two children, son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with her ex-husband Brady. She was also a stepmother to Brady's son Jack, 15, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
In 2009, just months before the birth of her first child with Brady, Bündchen spoke to Harper's Bazaar about her desire to "have a big family." She shared, "My parents have been together for 36 years, and that is what I want. I am in that place. It's all good in that part of my life."
Bündchen and Tom finalized the divorce at around October 2022 ending their 13 years in marriage. The former couple has maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their children.
While Bündchen has been relatively quiet about her personal life since the divorce, she has continued to work as a model, gracing the covers of numerous high-profile magazines. Earlier this month, the expectant mother was notably absent from the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, fueling speculation about her pregnancy.
